This Privacy Policy explains how The Web People ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use mouve.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, company name, password hashes, and role (admin / staff).
Location data: latitude, longitude, speed, accuracy, and timestamps while a staff journey is active, used to show live maps and compute journey distance.
Usage & device data: app events, crash logs, push notification tokens, and approximate network metadata needed to operate the Service.
Billing data: subscription status, invoice numbers, and payment/order references from our payment partner. Card and UPI credentials are handled by the payment partner — we do not store full card numbers.

2. Why we use this data

Provide live tracking, journey history, and distance reports.
Authenticate users and secure accounts.
Process subscriptions, renewals, upgrades, and invoices.
Send transactional notifications (OTP, payment, reminders).
Improve reliability and prevent abuse.

3. Sharing

We share data with processors who help us run mouve, including hosting providers, email/SMS gateways, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push, and our payment partner. We do not sell personal data. Company admins can see staff journey and location data belonging to their company.

4. Retention

Account data is kept while the company account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting needs. Detailed journey points may expire after a retention window (currently designed around 90 days for raw points, with summarised archives where applicable).

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

6. Your choices

Staff can stop sharing location by ending a journey and revoking OS location permission (tracking will not work without it). Admins may request account closure by contacting support. You may email [email protected] for access or deletion requests where applicable under Indian law.

7. Children

mouve is a business product and is not directed at children under 18.
